Cauliflower Steak

Cauliflower Steak

This Cauliflower Steak is a creative way to have a hearty vegetable entree or to add an interesting side to share. Obviously, this in no way resembles steak, but it is a fun way to make cauliflower. And it’s really delicious, especially with the Bacon Sauce. You can use the remaining cauliflower in the Fried Rice recipe or in the Cauliflower Mashed Taters.

Cauliflower Steak

Makes 1 serving

1 head cauliflower (organic preferred)
Olive oil or avocado oil (for roasting)
Salt & pepper to taste
Bacon Sauce for garnish and extra yum!

Preheat over to 400 degrees and place parchment paper on a baking sheet. Remove/discard outer leaves and place cauliflower head on it’s stem. Cut a 3/4″ slice right from the middle of the cauliflower. Brush both sides with oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Roast for 45 minutes until lightly browned and edges are caramelized.

Transfer to a plate and garnish with Bacon Sauce.
