Nutritional Therapy: in a nutshell

When you give your body what it needs to function properly, it will flourish.”

Saying there’s a lot of confusion out there over food is the understatement of the century. I want to simplify things. Nutritional therapy centers on you, the individual. It is a deep dive into the foods that make you feel the best and nourish you from the inside out. It is not a prescribed diet or a dictated list of rules.

Nutritional therapy centers on six foundations that support proper physiological function and overall health. It also focuses on the bio-individuality of each person to discover what foods work best for you. In other posts I’ll talk in-depth about each of the six foundations, but here they are for this ‘nutshell’ version.

The Nutritional Therapy Foundations
  • a properly prepared, nutrient dense diet
  • digestion
  • hydration
  • blood sugar regulation
  • fatty acid balance
  • mineral balance

When these six foundations are aligned you’ll be amazed at how good you can feel. This is about nourishing the WHOLE you. If you have common issues such as joint pain, brain fog, memory loss, trouble focusing, low energy, irritability, body aches, and stubborn weight you can see significant improvement by dialing into these six foundations.

Diets are designed for quick, Instagram-worthy results and aren’t sustainable. Typically they limit fat or carbs or calories or give you an insane schedule to follow with an equally insane shopping list. Your body’s innate genius doesn’t need fancy protocols. The bottom line is this: when you give your body what it needs to function properly, it will flourish. That is the nutritional therapy difference.
